The Fahrenheit 451 Jacket Design Contest
In celebration of the upcoming 60th anniversary of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, Simon & Schuster invites you to design a new cover for this iconic classic.
Rules
• The Submission must be in jpeg format.
• The Submission must be in English.
• The Submission must be an original jacket design for the 60th anniversary edition of the classic novel, FAHRENHEIT 451, by Ray Bradbury.
• You may submit up to three (3) entries. Submissions must be different and not substantially similar.
• Participation open only to legal residents of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia who are 18 years or older as of date of entry.

ANNOUNCING THE FAHRENHEIT 451 60th ANNIVERSARY JACKET DESIGN CONTEST!
Next year, Simon & Schuster will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of Ray Bradbury’s classic dystopian novel,Fahrenheit 451. It is a book that has remained meaningful, thought-provoking and relevant to every generation that reads it, regardless of how the world changes.
To celebrate this momentous birthday, Simon & Schuster is launching a contest to redesign the iconic book jacket. The winning design will be used for the first print run of the anniversary edition in the spring of 2013, and the designer will be awarded $1,500. The design may also be used on in-store displays and other promotions, both physical and online. We expect this edition not only to be in bookstores across the country, but to become a collector’s item for the many fans and bibliophiles out there. We’re counting on a fabulous new jacket to help us launch it.
Entries can be submitted and viewed on this Tumblr page. You can also find the full rules and guidelines here. We’re looking for work that is creative, original, and relevant to the book’s content.
We’ll be accepting submissions until November 30th, and the winner will be announced at the American Librarian Association Midwinter conference in January.
